The worst thing about a job like this is having random house visitors. My landlord tells me she will come and pick up the rent money any time between 10 am - 1 pm, and she asks me if I'll be home then. Well, yes I'll be home, but the real question is will I be in the middle of a private session seconds away from relief when the doorbell rings? Will I have to excuse myself for a minute or thirty to put up with some polite chit chat?
I just moved into this place this month, and it was my first time applying for rent! It was pretty embarrassing to write down MFC as my employer, and I hoped they wouldn't find out what it really was. Fortunately my landlord is a weirdo and she didn't care for any details.
